The Beginning of Aasara Inc

Aasara Inc is a newly opened animal non-profit dedicated to spread awareness about neglected animals in order to reduce stigma, provide love, care, and shelter for them and raise funds to help other organizations and individuals supporting this cause!

Who Started it and where does it reside?

This animal not-for-profit organization is started by Sarah Grover, a high school student in Bay Area, California. A junior in high school, I really want to make make a difference in the lives of our furry friends.

The love for animals

My love for animals began when I was a little girl. My family never really adopted any pets, but we had neighbours who had pets. So I did what any other little girl obsessed with pets did: knock on their doors and ask if I could play with the pets. As I grew older, I also noticed that even though my initial exposure to animals was through the neighbours with pets, most of the animals I saw were stray dogs.

What motivated me to help animals?

The more I saw them, the more I desperately wanted to help them find a forever home, where they wouldn't have to live days without food, water or shelter, where they wouldn't have to beg strangers for some very basic needs that every living being deserves.

When we moved to the United States, from India, I began to realize that it wasn't only stray dogs but also stray cats, squirrels, and even racoons who faced similar issues. When I found out that I can help these animals, I would do what I could.

Started Aasara Inc

In 2021, I began the process of legally starting a non-profit organization with the help of my family, who was very supportive of my idea and even offered to help in whatever way they could. By the beginning of 2022, Aasara was official! Soon, I started doing projects, established social media presence, and even created an official website for the organization!

In the not-really-end...

While Aasara Inc is still a fairly new non-profit organization, I continue to do whatever I can to help animals, and raise awareness about them and what can be done to better their lives.
